      Alton Bank is one of the few remaining “home-owned” banks in our area. The bank was started in 1892 and was known as Bank of Alton. The name was changed to Alton Bank in 1924. The Alton Bank is now owned and operated by the family of Don and Alice Gay Combs.

      Alton Bank sponsors several fund raisers throughout the year. The employees have sold many dozens of cinnamon rolls and apple turnovers the last few years. Recently we have also had great success raising funds cooking and selling pulled pork sandwiches. The funds raised from these projects are put back into the community to help schools and local organizations.
